The Nature Effect is a catalyst for the transformation of people, spaces and communities through connection to nature.

We are inspired by the ‘ spirit of place’, the beauty of plants, rocks, and wildlife, and human potential now and in the future. We work with educators, entrepreneurs, artists, scientists, gardeners, public and charity sectors. Our ongoing conversation is how working with and for Nature engages and shapes individuals, organisations and communities.

Lots happening at The Nature Effect this year. The NaturEscape Florence Park has had a facelift and lots of new planting. The pond is full of frogspawn and a new stumpery has been planted with ferns. There is a pear arch and children from Flo's - The Place in the Park nursery have regular forest school sessions here. Soon there will be a new sign and renaming of the area as 'Kate's Place' in loving memory of our co-director and designer of the area Kate Jury. It is not too late to add to the pot enable more things to grow and happen here. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/katesplace
Thanks to everyone who has donated to help make this possible. Watch this space for new developments.

Dear Friends. We have reached our target for funding Kate's Place in memory of our dear friend and colleagues Kate Jury. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so generously so far. Work has started on the site and huge improvements have been made to NaturEscape in Florence Park . The pond has been extended and revitalised and the pathway made much more accessible. Two welcome arches are under constructions - one a pear tree arch. We are awaiting a new sign from Stig and new benches sponsored by Kate's family. The nursery children Flo's are using it every day and it's open to the public when not booked by educational or community groups. You can still donate to Kate's fund. Any funding left over after physical improvement will be used to sustain its stewardship and for Nature engagement activities......more on this to follow......
